Rob is the founder of Revel Accountants Ltd, a new and exciting independent Chartered Certified Accountancy firm based in Haslemere, Surrey.

A brief history of Rob

Rob trained with a top ten accounting practice, gaining wide experience across audit and general business services whilst specialising in the field of NHS GP practices.

Post ACCA qualification, Rob moved to a top 20 firm to further broaden his experience, predominantly looking after the accounting affairs of “small businesses” (typically those with annual turnover below £2m). More recently, Rob managed a local office of an independent practice, where he looked after the accounting and tax affairs of a incredibly broad range of clients across a diverse range of sectors.

In December 2016, Rob and his wife (and Revel’s co-owner) Laura had a baby girl, and took the bold decision to start a family business reflective of Rob’s values, and Revel Accountants Ltd was born.

About Revel

Revel provides proactive, friendly and client specific accounting and tax services to a variety of businesses across Surrey, Hampshire and Sussex. Revel is an evolution from the traditional accountant, with options for online accounting, video advice and internet meetings for today’s fast paced digital world, but also providing a personal and friendly service tailored specifically to the needs of individual clients.

We believe in building strong and long-lasting business relationships, and our mantra for achieving this is set out below.

1. Provide quality advice and support

Revel is registered with the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and is therefore bound by regulation to keep up to date with technical developments in the profession and in the sectors of its clients. Revel looks forward to upcoming developments when advising so that you are never caught off guard.

2. Tailored specifically for you

Good advice for one client may be the complete opposite for the next – there is no ‘one size fits all’. Revel takes the time to get to know you, your business, and your objectives so that the advice we provide is supporting, sympathetic, and ultimately suited solely to your needs.

3. In clear and simple terms

Technical quality is all very well and good, but it’s useless if it takes another accountant to understand what we’re saying. You shouldn’t be tied up deciphering finances – that is Revel’s job, and we’re not happy until you are clear on where you stand.

4. At prices that don’t cost the Earth

Accountants are not cheap, however many accountants are not good value either… and the two aren’t mutually exclusive. When it comes to quality of service, however, we think we are one of the best value firms out there. Couple this with monthly payment plans and you will find that Revel are a very competitive option.

5. With links to technical specialists

We acknowledge that as a small outfit, we can’t know it all when it comes to accounting and tax. Revel maintains links with local, independent and trusted specialists that share our values around client service, so that we are both up to date on technical issues, and able to put you in touch with them as and when you need them.

Get in touch

We are looking for clients that share our vision and passion. If you are a small business startup, and you want the support of a dynamic and modern accountant; you have an accountant but find yourself baffled by techno jargon, slapped by fees every time you ask a question, or you’re not getting proactive advice… even if you feel you could do with a bit of impartial accounting guidance, then please contact Rob to arrange a free meeting to suit your diary.

Want to switch to Revel?

Once terms are agreed, changing to Revel can be as easy as 1,2,3:

1 – Give notice to your current accountant and ensure your account with them is settled.

2 – Inform Revel that you have done so, and pass on contact information.

3 – Return to Revel the signed engagement letter and forms of ID. Revel will take care of the rest of the process – it is that simple.
